This week has flown by and it has been a very eventful one to say the least! My Husband started to play indoor soccer again....I am glad that he puts forth the effort to still have fun and the kids love to see Daddy out there playing...atleast that is what I was hoping for. Instead I saw maybe 10 minutes of the game....the other 40 were spent going to the bathroom, chasing Julieanna, looking over my shoulder to make sure that they were playing where I told them too, (I never thought I would be that mom) and then taking things out of Julies mouth. (she's 3, shouldnt that stage be over!). Skyler was the only one who watched, and that was for the 10 mins. that I was able too....I need to find things that will get them to sit still, but I do think that maybe impossible! Better luck next week!
Today was Skyler's 3rd Basketball game. He is really starting to get it!! It is probably just me, but I think this could be a sport that he is really good at. He loves it, and he is a pretty good shooter...He made 2 outside shots today. The crowd as well as myself was pretty proud of him! This makes me miss basketball and want to play again...or maybe just couch his team next year!
Shyanne today suprised us all! I got this crazy idea that since she will be 5 next week and it was a beautiful sunshinny day we would take the training wheels off of her bike. Skyler has been really cautious of riding his bike ever since he learned how to ride his bike! And he has every reason to be cause that is when he broke his leg....so I thought maybe seeing his sister ride her bike would give him confidence to ride his! That did not happen, but Shyanne is well on her way to learning to ride her bike. She fell and fell and fell really hard, but she kept on getting back up and she was one tough cookie. I was suprised because she did not shed one tear, give up, or have a bad attitude, and if you know Shyanne you know she is capable of displaying all three in a instant if she wants too. I am so proud of her, we will see if she really has it tomorrow...hopefully we can get some video of her amazing riding skills!
That has been the last few days for us...oh and we signed up Skyler and Shyanne for T-ball today...should be fun to see the kids play this year!

Pictures!!!
So this is my youngest Julieanna. We went and got pictures taken today! We originally were just going to help out my sister-in-law with her kids, but it turned into pictures for Julieanna as well. Mainly because I would always feel guilty when I would take my wallet out and show pictures of my kids, and I have like 6 of Skyler, 2 of Shyanne and none of Julieanna. Since she does not go to school and is not old enough for sports, she never gets here picture professionally taken. So we used today's oppurtunity to get her "school" picture taken so I can have a wallet size to show others all of my children. I think they turned out pretty good! She is growing up so fast...and I love these pictures because It looks like she actually has hair! She was a ham in the studio. It was alot of fun. Now I want to take all the kids in and get pictures with all 3 of them!Monday, January 25, 2010

So the last few days have been lots of fun! We got to visit with my sister Brenda who is visiting from her temporary home in New Jersey for a few days. Skyler started his Basketball career, which I must say was so fun to watch. I think this might be one sport that will stick around, he had so much fun! It brought back so many memories of myself playing basketball! And then to top off the day we got to celebrate cousin Casey's 2nd Birthday! We played pin the tail on the donkey and Musical chairs! Had a blast, and we are all now exhausted. We have a day of relaxation planned so that come tomorrow, we can start all over again! We have yet again another busy week! I will try to get better at posting in between events, so I can elaborate more, well off to relax!
The Eilers Family
Tuesday, January 19, 2010
Hello everyone, it has been nearly a year since my last post! The Eilers family had a very very busy 2009, which was probably cause for the lack of posts. 2009 brought lots of new adventures, challenges, struggles, and closure to many areas of our lives!! From the adoption being final,(YAY) to Skyler breaking his leg, from our fun Disneyland trip, to baseball, soccer, and dance. We have grown so much together as a family!
We are looking forward to our first year with no questions, visits from social workers (praise the Lord), and no paperwork that has to be filled out, were people question who we are! We have been a family for 2yrs now, and in 2009 we recieved all the paperwork to prove it!!!!
As we look at 2010, our main goal is to just be a family!! No expectations, no regrets. Just us taking one day at a time, and each moment for what it is! A chance for us to just be together!
My goal this year is to use this blog as a way to capture those moments that might go by to fast, or if not written down, forgotten! A way for me to express and remember what God has given me.
I look forward to a new year, with new adventures and challenges....
I am glad to be back blogging!
